The Sigma Developmental tiers are comprised of our beginning swimming team members. Most swimmers who are members of Tiers 6, 7, and 8 (particularly T7 and T8) have been swimming for less than 1 year and are learning all four strokes. Because some strokes may be more developed than others, coaches make stroke technique the highest priority in the developmental tiers.
Most Tier 6, 7, and 8 swimmers enjoy their learn-to-swim experience and look forward to each practice session. Most of our swimmers in our developmental tiers are very young and have many other activities that they participate in. We encourage our developmental swimmers to try it all and are very flexible with attendance. Our main goal is to keep our developmental swimmers enthusiastic, swimming year-round, and constantly improving.
